If you are incredibly passionate about agriculture, love supporting local businesses, and feel at home at the farmers market… come join our team! We are hiring for our Utah Valley Garden Co-op Assistant!
THE POSITION
Our team is striving to provide Utah Valley with the largest selection of local produce. As part of this effort, we are creating the Utah Valley Garden Co-op! The vision of the co-op is to better support our local growers and fill gaps in the produce available at the Provo Market. Produce will be gathered on a weekly basis from local gardeners throughout the valley and sold at the market.
The Co-op assistant will help support and run this effort! While this is their primary responsibility, we are a small team so we would love to connect with someone who is excited about helping in other areas of the market when there is a need!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting up and taking down a booth
Gathering produce from local homes throughout the week
Connecting with community members as you sell local produce
Providing information about the co-op and support in advertising
Supporting the market in a variety of other ways throughout the season
Must be able to pick-up and carry 50 pounds
Support other Provo Farmers Market staff in various duties, as assigned
SCHEDULE
Saturdays from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm (or until all unsold produce is delivered to secondary consumers)
Variable hours during Thursday and Friday as needed
This is a temporary position from late May to the end of October
One weekend each month can be taken off upon request
COMPENSATION
Starting pay will be $15 an hour.

An updated resume or other description of work experience
A couple of times throughout the week that I could meet you!
